A FEW SUGGESTIONS FOR SHOWING YOUR HOUSE

Small differences can affect a buyer’s choice of homes and impression of value.  Keep this in mind when potential buyers are coming to look at your home.  Here are a few thoughts you might consider.

LIGHT.  A well-lighted house makes the best impression. Open curtains and blinds to let as much sunlight in as possible. Turn on outside lights when your house is being shown at night.

CLEAN.  Clean your house a thoroughly as possible for the best impression.

KITCHEN.  Dirty dishes in the kitchen make this important room less appealing.

BATHROOM.  Put fresh towels in the bathroom, and make sure mirrors are spotless.

CLUTTER.  A cluttered room looks smaller than it really is, and gives prospective buyers a poor impression. Keep things neat for the best showing.

NOISE.  Keep noise to a minimum. Turn off the television and radio. Keep children quiet or get them out of the house while it is being shown.

DO NOT DISTURB.  Stay out of the way. Let the Realtor show the house. Don't follow the prospective buyers around the house.

LET THE REALTOR WORK.  Let your Realtor do the talking. If questions are directed to you, keep your answers short, truthful and to the point. Do not ramble on about the house, and avoid answering questions that have not been asked. Turn the discussion back over to your Realtor as soon as possible.
